Office Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Volunteer Status: Accepting volunteers on the 2nd and 4th Saturdays of each month from 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM for various tasks, including kitchen assistance, tutoring, and shelter maintenance.
Description:
Aloha Haven Homeless Shelter has been a safe space for families and individuals in need since its founding in 2010. Nestled in Kailua, our shelter provides 50 beds, nutritious meals, healthcare assistance, and job training programs. Over the past decade, we’ve helped over 5,000 residents find stability through housing placements and employment. Our community kitchen serves up to 200 meals daily, and we offer programs ranging from mental health services to after-school tutoring for children. With the support of donors and volunteers, Aloha Haven remains a lifeline for those facing adversity on the island.
Specific Donations Needed:
High Priority:
40 Sleeping bags
- 50 Warm blankets
- Non-perishable food items (canned goods, rice, pasta)
Medium Priority:
- 20 Tablets for our digital literacy program
- Fresh fruits and vegetables for the community kitchen
Low Priority:
Baby care items (diapers, wipes, formula)
Clothing for adults (all sizes)
